Covid 19 and driving lesssons

Covid 19 has become our life in 2021, in NSW our government still allows lessons with students under the transport act. At A breeze driving school we strive to keep the environment safe. After every lesson we use disinfectant wipes and sprays to maintain a safe environment, wiping all surfaces and using a spray to keep space as safe as possible. Please contact us for any further information if needed.

Extract from the RMS about Coronavirus

Driver and vehicle training, testing, inspection and certification servicesThe latest information on how driver and rider programs and services are affected by COVID-19 restrictions.
This information explains how current laws concerning the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak apply to the following government services:
  • Safer Drivers Course
  • Motorcycle Rider Training Scheme
  • Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment scheme
  • Older Driver Assessments
  • Driving instructors
  • Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme
  • Authorised Inspection Stations
  • Alcohol Interlock Program.
Accessing government servicesNew laws took effect on 31 March 2020 which require people to remain at home unless they have a reasonable excuse such as travelling to work or shopping for food.
Those laws also provide that a person may leave their house to use a public service whether the public service is provided by the government or by a service provider (such as the above services) on behalf of government.
Transport for NSW considers the services listed above to be important public services which customers may still lawfully access, and as such those services can continue to run.
Gathering limitsNew laws are also in place prohibiting public gatherings of more than two people and limiting the size of gatherings in indoor and outdoor premises by requiring four square metres per person.
At present those laws do not apply to "office buildings" or to "essential gatherings" which includes transport-related services or educational institutions.
The above services should:
  • manage the risk of COVID-19 to workers and others in the work environment
  • comply with national and State public health directions
  • follow all NSW Health guidelines for hygiene practices and especially social distancing requirements.
Transport for NSW will continue to monitor public announcements and provide updated information accordingly.
